Joint land measurement for the expressway has officially begun in Dharashiv and Tuljapur talukas, with farmers actively participating in the process. Their presence during the survey has helped ensure transparency and has accelerated land acquisition work on the ground. The proposed Nagpur–Goa Shaktipith Expressway was originally planned to pass through Nagpur, Yavatmal, Nanded, Hingoli, Parbhani, Beed, Latur, Dharashiv, Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg and finally Goa. The corridor is designed to create a fast north–south connectivity spine, linking Vidarbha, Marathwada and Western Maharashtra while also supporting religious tourism, agriculture logistics and regional economic development. Recent reports have indicated that the alignment of the expressway is being reviewed for the stretch after Solapur. This review applies to the western portion of the project and is part of the planning and optimisation process commonly seen in large-scale expressway developments. The review is focused on environmental considerations, land acquisition feasibility and overall execution efficiency. Importantly, there is no reported change in the alignment within Dharashiv district, where survey work is progressing as planned. Farmers in Dharashiv have shown strong cooperation during the joint measurement process, engaging directly with officials and expressing support for the project while seeking fair and transparent compensation.
