August 26, 2022 - Dr. Anne W. Watts receives The President Joe Biden Lifetime Achievement Award along with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in a ceremony held at Morehouse College. The President's Volunteer Service Award is a civil award bestowed by the President of the United States. Established by executive order by George W. Bush, the award was established to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. Individuals can receive the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and/or the President's Call to Service Award (also referred to the President's Lifetime Achievement Award). The U.S. President's Call to Service Lifetime Achievement Award is the most prestigious, and it has been awarded to a select few of Americans. Led by the AmeriCorps and managed in partnership with Points of Light, this program allows Certifying Organizations to recognize their most exceptional volunteers.
