Forests at the Indianapolis Zoo. Filmed August 7, 2022. The forests of the world are home to some of the world’s most diverse ecosystems, from the tropical jungles of South America and Southeast Asia, the temperate forests of Central Asia, and the boreal forests in North America. Today, we’ll be getting just a small sample of each of them as we walk through the Forest biome at the Indianapolis Zoo. First up is Asia, were we’ll learn about the zoo’s newest ferociously adorable arrivals, as well as the always popular Red Panda. Next up is a splash of color as we enter the world of the Magnificent Macaws. Down the path we’ll come across a couple of big bears representing the woodlands you may be very familiar with back home. Finally, we’ll take an unexpected detour to the Australian Outback to check out the new Kangaroo Crossing and meet some very friendly roos.
