Click here: 0:30 Voiceovers are transcribed below! ~~~ Note: Some of these ideas for scene parallels I kinda stole from other people on tumblr or in Finn tribute fanvideos. :P The ideas were just too good. ~~~ So... I've always liked the original of this song, but this cover is softer and sadder and just worked better for Kurt mourning Finn, in my opinion, which was what I wanted to vid today. I just got inspired. I really love Kurt & Finn as step-brothers in fanfiction stories, in particular Kurt point of view ones which over the past year or so I've been reading a lot more of. I've been getting really into the Klaine & some Kurtofsky fics (I love Karofsky and idk borderline ship him with Kurt, but I mainly just like his love for Kurt being unrequited most of the time, and prefer friendship being explored between Kurt & Dave. Anyway...). I love Furt. I really do. 2x08 "Furt" was always one of my favorite episodes of the series for a variety of reasons, and the entire Burt/Carole/Finn/Kurt Hudson-Hummel family just warms my heart. ;) For me, the saddest part of episode 5x03 "The Quarterback" was Kurt's little scene with a voiceover at the beginning of the episode. I just... I just really love these two. I hope you all enjoy my tribute to their relationship here. I think there is only 1 glitchy thing in here that I wish I'd fixed, but it's minor enough that I'm not going to re-render anything right now. I made this whole video in one sitting and rendered it only once at the end, and all in all I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out. I also didn't have to cut the song too short, which was great. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think! Song: How Far We've Come Artist: Boyce Avenue Voiceovers: Kurt: He was my brother. Finn: You and me, man. We're brothers from another mother. From now on, I got your back. Finn: Dude, that rocks! It's like "Gay Braveheart"! Kurt (whispered): Thank you. Kurt: This isn't real. I'm not going home for this. He's going to be there. I'm going to spend my entire life missing him. Finn: Come on, give me a hug before I go. Kurt: Six months ago did you ever think that things would be like this? Kurt: Look, it's... the "faggy lamp" from my Marlene Dietrich basement redecoration. Carole: I think he kept it in here to prove a point. Kurt: Oh, look. It's the ball from the first game we ever scored at. Rachel: You know, you still haven't told me who you're voting for yet. Finn: Well... I haven't decided! Kurt's my brother! It's kinda hard to vote against your brother. Kurt: Seeing him come down the hallway wearing this... it was like Superman had arrived. Kurt: My mom died ten years ago. The broken dresser in their room? It still smells like her perfume. I know it's stupid, but sometimes I'll sneak in there and close my eyes and just smell her. Finn: That's not stupid. Kurt: I mean, Finn and I aren't even real brothers and we pretty much disagree on everything. But I love the big lug! And at the end of the day, we're in each other's corners. Finn: Kurt told me you were competing tonight! Kurt: It's good to see you again, Finn. Finn: You too, Little Brother. Kurt: You're unique, Finn. ~~~~
