***Please note that this is the newly revised version as the original one had the music soundtracks too loud for some folks enjoyments, plus many of my slow motion video edits didnt play as intended'. Thus, this version is the better qaulity one. I encourage you to watch this one, even if you have already viewed the previous one. Thank you. ** Today, the Wandering Scotsman explores the infamous "Campsie Fells", on the outskirts of Glasgow - a very popular Hiking, Hillwalking, and Cyling destination for folks from far and wide... Come with me, and explore the majestic waterfalls as they cascade down the glen... The Campsie Fells have been a place of adventure, escape and relaxation for countless generations of Glaswegians. The Fells offer peace and quiet in the countryside, just a few miles from the noise, hustle and bustle of Scotland's largest city - Glasgow. This wee hill walk provides everyone with an excellent opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Campsies, taking in impressive waterfalls, stretches of quiet woodland and jaw dropping scenic views. Sitting just above the wee villages of Lennoxtown and of Clachan of you get to enjoy nature at its finest. Starting at the car park located at the top of the Campsies, you follow the wee path on the left hand side, to venture down to a natural pool called James's Linn with a waterfall on the other side of the burn. A couple of ominous signs warn you to "stick to the path" (reminiscent of the dire warning on the old horror movie "An American Werewolf in London". Lol. It is, after all rather risky, especially when the path is wet and muddy. However, if you are adventurous like myself, it is WELL WORTH the challenge... Just don't slip and fall on your bum. Walk past the signs, and follow the slip n slide path down to the bottom, where you will discover to a beautiful collection of tumbling waterfalls... Have fun, and please consider subscribing to my You tube channel here- The Wandering Scotsman, for more exciting waterfall adventures around the world. Thank you. Slainte. Appreciatively yours Brian Ruxton aka The Wandering Scotsman.
