Repairing the Acura NSX NC1 Carbon Fiber Diffuser plastic mount issues

When I was upgrading my exhaust with Science of Speed Downpipes, I decided to clean up the Carbon Fiber Diffuser of my Acura NSX NC1 and noticed a few defects. The plastic mounting tabs which hold the two heat shields, as well as the metal exhaust tip surround, were cracked. The heat must have caused issues for these plastic mounting tabs. Sadly, when I checked into replacing these parts, I couldn't just order the plastic mounts from Acura. I had to replace the entire diffuser which is very expensive. Other Acura NSX owners contacted Acura and attempted to have the repairs made and they were informed that the entire diffuser would have to be replaced but that Acura would cover half the cost of the diffuser. I knew there had to be a better way. I removed the heat shields and exhaust tip metal surround from the Acura NSX NC1 carbon fiber diffuser and used a Dremel to remove unrepairable parts and replaced them with metal hardware. I also used epoxy to repair and strengthen existing plastic mounting tabs. In all, the carbon fiber diffuser was good as new and likely stronger than factory.
