Matt explains how he was able to get off of Suboxone with pretty much no withdrawal symptoms. So many people fail at trying to get off of Suboxone (Buprenorphine) because they want to just hop off of it and be done with it. But unfortunately that's not the way it works and unless you take your time with it, you are going to have a lot of trouble. When you take a Suboxone detox slow, you are able to minimize withdrawal symptoms or even experience NO withdrawal symptoms similar to Matt. Also, doing a slow detox allows you to distance yourself from the life of drugs and the people who use drugs. Even if you are able to hop off Suboxone quick and get through it, you have not been away from the people or things for very long, and it's much easier to fall back into the "trap". Matt gives a very detailed explanation of how he came off Suboxone (great timeline) and how he felt along the way.
