Another Grouse Attack!!!

It happened again, this time not ten feet from my house. I was putting plants outside and this fellow came RUNNING from across the back yard to accost me. Most definitely an "attack", although he lacks the blood fury (and stupidity) of a domestic rooster. Took a while for me to figure out he wanted to kill me, although in retrospect I can see the aggression from the start. I called the Favorite Husband out, who likewise interacted with him. (We both independently told him it was a good thing we didn't need food, or we'd have dinner...) We finally decided to go back in the house to stop stressing him out so much, but he paraded around the house daring us to come back out. A bit later my husband wanted to go for a walk but he was afraid the grouse would keep chasing him. Which he did. After a half mile or so my husband felt bad for the little guy and turned around and led him back home. GROUSE WINS!!!
