Michael Brun: SCORE HAITI

On his forthcoming album, Lokal, Haitian DJ Michael Brun folds the complex musical rhythms of his homeland into fiery, danceable electronic beats. CONVICTS recently travelled with Brun to his homeland, Haiti, to produce the first episode of our documentary music series: SCORE. Directed by Peter Maiden, SCORE weds travel-documentary style cinematography with a piece of original music inspired by a locale close to an artist's heart. It was our pleasure to produce SCORE: HAITI in conjunction with Brun to, as the musician says, give platform to "the voices that will be heard by the next generation of Haitians and these sounds will define Haiti to the rest of the world in the years to come.
