Many players distinguish three main genres of hard levels: kaizo, speedrun and precision. I have grinded several levels of the first two but didn't have as much experience with hard precision levels, so I decided to improve a little bit at this type. My previous hardest Team Precision clear was rated only 5 by difficulty, and took me 2.5 hours. I decided to aim a little higher and chose 7 as the rating of my next grind, which turned out to be this level named Clairvoyant. It's a simple course with 5 one-screen sections. It uses the night snow theme, which means the ground has ice physics (it's slippery). I thought Clairvoyant would be fitting as my first 7 due to its simplicity and the ice physics as a nice change of pace, so I picked it. It took me 9 hours and 28 minutes to clear this level, including practice in the editor. It's now my hardest precision clear. First section - possibly the 2nd hardest one just because of the jump at the beginning, between all the spikes. I had to gain enough momentum, jump at the correct time, with the correct height, and preferably with a float. The rest of the section is pretty easy. Second section - none of the jumps were very problematic, but there are a few that I struggled with, for example the first one. Not only do you have to hit the hard block, which requires precise height control, but you also have to start holding left at a specific time, so that you neither hit the spike to the left nor land on the spike below. Third section - it's definitely the hardest one to learn, and stayed as the hardest one, until I became pretty consistent at it near the end of the grind. The most difficult part is at 0:50. You have to land on the hard block, but you have to slow down a lot so that you don't hit the spikes (and remember, the level has ice physics). It's so easy to hit the spikes, miss the landing or fall off after landing. I also found the beginning of this section to be difficult at first: the controlled jump and the edge jump right after. Fourth section - for some reason, I died a lot (maybe 40-50% of the time) to the part where you fall down onto the hard block below the key door, even though it didn't feel as inconsistent during practice. The part at 1:23 was hard. To be honest, this section felt easier during practice than during real attempts, maybe because of the nerves. Fifth section - the easiest one for me; the hardest part is the last jump (2:00) but it still wasn't too bad. I only died in this section twice. Neither of the deaths was to the last jump, though. ID: J79-BM8-BPG Next, I'll probably upload a speedrun of mine from 2024. It's easier than Clairvoyant, and I doubt it'll take me longer than a few hours. After that, I'll hopefully put more time into my bomb level (I settled on the name Black Mambo, thanks to EntityLimit for the suggestion). However, I don't think I'll clear it soon, and because I'm not usually in the mood to play it and will most likely be playing it on and off, I may start another grind.
