212. Making a Model Railway Signal Change to Danger as a Train Passes

Responding to your comments is going to cost me sleep! 😜 Every time you suggest something I at least think about how I’d solve the issue you raise. Yes, I COULD just hook up the signal to “Train Controller” and have the computer decide when the signal goes to danger but I also realize most of you don’t have access to that at all. The solution I come up with is a fun ‘throw together’ project that takes a half afternoon/evening to solve. I’m not quite finished but thought you might enjoy how it works. Please don’t throw “that’s not prototypical” at me or I’ll tell you, “neither is a signalman walking is dog every time a train passes” and we have one of those too!! It’s helpful to realize that the more detail I add, the more comments I draw of “that’s not right!” HA! Is it better with or without whatever it is I’ve done? Hmm? Usually better. I love this hobby. I’m not sure quite what the hobby IS though. 😊 Thanks for watching.
