More than a week after the registration of an FIR in the Hyderabad minor gang-rape case, police have not been able to nab the fifth accused. “On May 31 when the FIR was registered, the fifth accused, the 18-year-old nephew of a local MLA, Umair, along with his family, had left for Ooty on a vacation. We sent a team via air, but by the time it reached the location, they had left for Hyderabad. The distance between our team and their vehicle was only 25 km,” said a top officer privy to the investigation. AIMIM MLA's nephew, who is one of the accused persons, is absconding. Also, Owaisi's MLA's son also a suspect in the case.
