Having looked at the concept of pulse code cab signaling and its implementation on the Boston Sprinter DLC before the February 2023 update previously in this video • US Signaling (NORAC): Pulse Code Cab Signa... we now check out what has changed after this update, recapping the the NORAC wayside and cab signaling aspects and compare the implementations in the game. First part of a full Amtrak Northeastern Regional service from Providence, Rhode Island, to Boston, Massachusetts, on a passenger train pulled by a "Sprinter", the Vectron-based Siemens ACS-64 V locomotive, in Dovetail Games' beautiful Boston Sprinter DLC for Train Sim World 3, with a short tutorial recapping the principle of pulse code cab signaling (32:27), the NORAC signaling (35:34), the cab signaling aspects used by the nine-aspect system implemented on the North East Corridor (49:59) and the signal progression to stop (54:13) in the light of the February 2023 update. What is new, is a discussion of some dwarf signal aspects used in the game (46:00) and a discussion of NORAC rule 553 (part 2/2 of the video), that tells you what to do when cab signals change between wayside signals. My stream was automatically cut in two parts by Twitch. This is part 1 of 2, find part 2 here: • US Signaling (NORAC): Boston POST-update 2...
