This all-day train journey begins at New York Penn station and takes passengers on a scenic trip up to Albany and then back. Tickets go on sale in February and sell out fast, so we felt lucky to experience this. The train is made up of two historic luxury train cars, Tavern Lounge 43 and Hickory Creek, attached to the back of an Amtrak Empire Service train. Food is provided on board.
