This stunning 9 mile route at the most westerly edge of Cheshire in Neston follows the course of the Dee estuary from Denhall / Ness through to Little Neston, Neston and Parkgate returning via a disused railway, the Wirral way to Neston, over the fields to pick up original route at the quay and returning down the way we came for the last 1.5 miles. Parkgate is 2.5 miles into the route and offers several good places to stop and eat and drink, note there is a public toilet just off the Main Street too.
