The carding shed it just outside the centre of Holmfirth and unless you are a avid walker you really need transport to get there, but it is well worth a visit. For those of a certain age it is definitely a trip down memory lane. The café has a good menu for a hearty breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea and delicious homemade cakes.. The drinks are served in vintage china cups and saucers and we all know that tea tastes so much better out of a china cup. So if you want to step back in time where and do a bit of reminiscing while you are in Holmfirth The Carding shed is the place to go
