Still feeling unheard, she has written a 28-page letter to Judge Michael Kraynick, who presided over her trial. In the letter, she criticized the judicial process, alleged bias, and reiterated claims of being a victim of abuse by Torres. She stated, "I am not a murderer. I am a survivor." Boone's defense attorney filed a motion for a new trial, citing prosecutorial misconduct and judicial errors.
