Sir Laurence reportedly was found one day (by his son Tarquin) watching 'The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone'--one of Vivien's last movies. Tarquin Olivier said: "He sat up to watch a film. He was in floods of tears all night long. 'What could have gone wrong, she was so beautiful, such a wonderful actress, that voice, the way she moved.' He couldn't get over it at all. It absolutely destroyed him. " In another interview, Tarquin said that Vivien was the love of his father's life. Beautiful tragedy.
