We don't yet have an official VR Superman game and that is a huge shame because experiencing VR flying like Superman in this VR superhero simulator proves how great a true Superman experience in virtual reality could be. Megaton Rainfall came out back in 2017 and I still think this is the very best of the best VR superhero games that we currently have access to, the feeling of flying out of earths atmosphere and into the depths of space is unmatched and the big over the top battles in fully destructible city scapes is an absolute rush. The visuals of Megaton Rainfall are definitely feeling dated now in 2022 but the core gameplay experience is still worth checking out if you're looking for a VR superhero game that gives players the freedom to explore as they wish and be as destructive as they want to... you can actually destroy the entire earth if you feel like it... If you want a VR Superman game or a VR superhero game for either PSVR or PC VR (it runs great on an Oculus Quest 2 airlink setup but isn't available natively on the Oculus Quest 2 platform) then Megaton Rainfall is still well worth checking out all these years after the initial release. We've had many attempts at a proper VR superhero simulator since but they all seem to fall short of greatness. The free Spiderman VR experiences and most recently Resist have all offered some great fun but felt a little short of the ultimate VR superhero game that I have always envisioned. Megaton Rainfall comes closest with it's huge scope for traversal, Superman inspired powers, wide scale battles, varied enemies, free roam mode and 9 mission campaign. For it's full retail price of £11.99 some may feel it doesn't quite offer enough in 2022 but if you can grab this one on sale you'll no doubt be pleased with the flying and scale on display which still feels very unique all these years later.
