This animation illustrates the process of High Shear granulation. It also shows the setup of a professional High Shear Granulator, aka High Shear Mixer and its key components. From a granulation perspective, the granules resulting from a High Shear Process are denser than the ones created by fluidized bed granulation. Compared to the latter, particle size is usually wider with the mechanical impact often enabling a reduced quantity of the required binder, which is either poured onto the powder or sprayed by an air atomized nozzle.
