Whirlpool duet dryer f23 error indicates a failure of the outlet Thermistor. The following are some of the causes of the error: • Faulty outlet thermistor • Faulty connections Now, let’s look at the best solutions to fix the error: Repairing connections • Inspect the wiring of the Thermistor to see if the connections are faulty. • If you get faulty wiring, replace the thermal components such as the thermal-cut off. Repairing and replacing the Temp sensor • Disconnect the dryer from the power supply to reset the control board. • If you see the F23 flashing, repair the Thermistor. • Take out the access panel close to the thermal fuse. • Take out the lint filter to access the exhaust of the Thermistor. • If you don’t detect an open circuit, take out the P4 connector to measure the resistance. • If you get a resistance of 5-15 kΩ, remove the wires from the Thermistor together with the screws and replace the control board components. • If you get a resistance of not more than one kΩ, insert the new outlet thermistor.
