Welcome to my guide to winning the Super Formula Race around Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Gran Turismo 7. THIS RACE WAS COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY THIS RACE WAS RECORDED ON UPDATE 1.65 THIS GUIDE IS UPDATED FOR UPDATE 1.66 As new game updates come out I will update this guide and mention if any car setup or strategy changes need to be made, IF their is some changes I will make a pinned comment below with the required changes. Race Details: Laps - X15 Fuel - X6 Tyres - X18 Car Choice: SF23 Super Formula Honda. (You can also use the Toyota variant, it doesn’t matter) Items purchased in the Tuning Shop: Fully Customisable: Racing Transmission Racing Soft Tyres Racing Medium Tyres RACE STRATEGY: Start the race on Racing Soft Tyres, make them last as long as possible, ideally try to get to the end of lap 5 or better. Once your Racing Soft Tyres are done pit for new Racing Medium Tyres and only add enough fuel to the little recommended fuel dot above the refuelling bar. If you pit at the end of lap 5 this will be 10 laps, look at 8:04 in the video to further understand what I’m trying to explain. Try to overtake traffic as quick as possible, sitting behind slower cars for too long will increase tyre wear and this could have a massive impact on the race strategy. To improve tyre wear short shift 2nd to 3rd gear on the exit of slower corners to minimise wheel spin. Car Setup Notes: Car Setup has a few changes compared to stock, we increase the ride height to manage the kerbs, increase the downforce to give use more rear end stability through the slow corners and we use the Fully Customisable Racing Transmission to increase our top speed a little along the back straight. TIPS: Avoid the yellow kerbs, they will unsettle the car a lot and you could spin out. When exiting the pits make sure you don’t cross the white line or you might get a penalty. I have my Brake Balance set to -2, this is personal preference and not required. I have my Traction Control set to 0 but that’s personal preference and not required. If you have any questions or are struggling with the strategy please comment below and I will do my best to help you.
