In this example problem, we use partial derivatives to estimate the value of a function at a given point. We first take the partial derivatives of the function with respect to x and with respect to y. Then we evaluate these partial derivatives (and the original function) at a point near the one that we are attempting to estimate. We create a function that will estimate the value. Then we evaluate the function that we have created at the point we are trying to estimate.
