When Melissa De La O was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, also known as a vestibular schwannoma, she already knew about the condition because her father also had it 35 years prior. She chose UC San Diego Health for treatment because we lead the nation in the number of patients and positive treatment outcomes for this rare benign tumor. We treat the most patients with acoustic neuroma and also provide personalized, multidisciplinary, compassionate care.
