This Targets run was originally recorded on March 26, 2024. At the time of recording, I thought this would have taken longer for me to get. Shovel Knight definitely is a bottom 4 character for Targets. It only makes me reflect on why people dislike Targets so much, which I assume is being forced to play a vastly different gamemode. His shovel slash is fast but has a short range. Doing it on the ground knocks him back (this has killed me multiple times). His charge slash is good for chains and juts him forward. This is the closest he has to a mobility tool aside from his shovel drop, which is more situational. The Flare Rod is a good projectile. Not much else to say about it other than it is small, so you have to be more precise with it. His shovel drop is instantaneous for vertical chains and precision. You can cancel it by attacking. I still think he lacks mobility, but I can rely on his tools not failing on me.
