2025 SUNDAY LEAGUE#1 🏆 Tournament 3 of 11 🏆 ⛳️ Glendower Golf Club ⛳️ The 3rd Event of the Sunday#1 League moved to Glendower Golf Club, the 8th Ranked Golf Course in South Africa. A big day was in store for the Ducks as another big field of 76 players gathered early in preparation for the Team Series Clashes as well as to fight it out for the Individual Title. Ranked the 2nd best course in Gauteng, the parkland layout truly stood up to its ranking as it showed of its pristine fairways and exceptional Greens on a near perfect day for golf. Once all the players were out on course it didn’t take long for Gary Mansfield to race to the top of the leaderboard reaching his halfway stage on -5 (23 points) which included two Birdies on the Par 4 - 11th and Par 4 - 16th. Gary’s 2nd nine was not as fortunate dropping 4 shots to ultimately finish in second place on -1 (37 points). Frikkie Barnard turned onto his 2nd nine on -3 (21 points) only two points behind but momentum was in his favour as he navigated the front nine, adding another 19 points to his total including a Birdie on the Par 5 - 8th hole. Frikkie went on to complete his round on -4 (40 points) to take his 1st League Victory since May 2023 at Krugersdorp Golf Club. Inform Jaco Jacobs added another Top 5 finish to his season becoming the 1st player to breach the 1000 Ranking point mark with a 36 points. The Teams Series saw the Gladiators winning 5 out of 6 matches against Quack-tain America, while the Mighty Ducks bounced back from Match Day 1 to secure 5 out of 6 match victories over the Mafia. The Gladiators and Mighty Ducks sharing the victory in Match Day 2. Congratulations to Frikkie Barnard for adding another Title and Trophy to his Duckhook career and too all the players who made the day a success.⛳️
