In which we take a lucrative employment offer. ------------------------------ ADDENDUM New Vegas Bounties. Genuinely my favorite mod series for New Vegas (barring 3, but we'll get to that eventually). For better or for worse, you could say that Someguy2000 (or the bird-shaped moniker he goes by nowadays) left a big impact on New Vegas mods for years to come with the original New Vegas Bounties-- and before I hit Freeside, I'll be focusing on this first. Gotta be prepared, don'tcha know? Funny thing. Before I started recording this episode, Jacklyn (that one raider after the Sunset Sarsaparilla caps) suddenly showed up. First time that's happened in a LONG while 'cuz it's usually Tomas I encounter instead of her. Funny how she thought it was a good idea to attack the courier with 6 heavily armed people right behind him, too. That's the thing about raiders, they never seem to have self-preservation, haha. My second (and unfortunately not as popular) companion Anya Volkova makes a long overdue appearance in this episode too! I'll be keeping her in the party for a while 'cuz I genuinely enjoyed working on her (though that is to say that Anya is not done being developed yet! Stay tuned.). Whilst on the subject of Anya, she was inspired by a lot of companions like Daria was-- although a big point of inspiration was th3overseer's Charlie from his quest mod The Depths of Depravity-- but we'll get to her when I start th3overseer's mods. You may have also noticed that we passed through the Tribal Village route of Goodsprings-- and I'm VERY thankful I had backup-- because fighting cazadores in any capacity GENUINELY gives me anxiety.
