Paws of War recently hosted a heartwarming reunion between four service members and five of the dogs that they rescued while serving in the Middle East took place in Brooklyn. The reunion event marked a joyous and emotional gathering for the seven soldiers who recently returned home from service. They were reunited with their four-legged friends for the first time since their base was attacked. In March, Paws of War embarked on a dangerous mission to rescue seven dogs (King, Hades, Shilo, Socks, Milo, Ulfhednar and Pedro) from a war-torn U.S. military base in the Middle East, who were in great peril. After three failed attempts, Paws of War’s volunteers made the rescue and safely arrived at the organization’s HQ on Long Island. If not for the courageous efforts by Paws of War, these dogs would not have survived.
