New turners sometimes find it hard to get a lathe, the tools and a sharpening system all in one go and the one that normally is left off of the list is the sharpening system. Sharp tools are a must in turning as blunt tools are not only dangerous but will turn you off the hobby very quickly. I mentioned that I had made a sharpening system before and was asked a lot how to do it so I made this video to answer the question. For platform sharpening simply use the platforms that came with the grinder. If you want a slider arm under each wheel simply follow the slider section instructions twice.
