Brunsviger Recipe Dough: 240ml whole milk 1 packet instant yeast (7g) 4 tbsp sugar 1 medium egg 420g plain flour (+ 2 tbsp if dough looks too wet) 1/2 tsp salt 85g unsalted butter melted Topping: 210g dark brown sugar 165g unsalted salted butter 1 tbsp cinnamon powder Method: In a bowl add warm milk, sugar and yeast stir and let sit for 5 min. Now add egg give it a stir then add rest of the dough ingredients, mix to form a shaggy dough. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for few minutes until a soft dough forms. Put it in an oiled bowl, cover and rest for 1hr or until doubled in size. Punch the dough and place in a lined baking tray stretch the dough to fit the tray and make little indentation, cover the try and let the dough rise for another hour. While dough is rising make the topping. By melting the butter, sugar and cinnamon powder in a pan over medium heat. Cook until sugar dissolves. After the dough has risen now make more indentation and pour all the sugar syrup all over the dough making sure it goes into the little wholes.
