The film is based on the problems of aborigines of Kerala and the meddling of mainstream society that is uprooting them, even from those miserable living conditions in their motherland. The story develops in the largest hamlet of tribal population in Kerala, Wayanad, where tribals continue in serfdom, working hard round the clock to please the self styled local landlords. Tribals were ejected out of their home land because of high voltage migration, large scale plantations and construction of dams in the area. It was also due to the fact that it was not a custom among them to protect individual land holdings as private property with boundaries and fencing. Adivasi land issue continues to be a burning concern even after so many protests and struggles. The intervention of elite class looking for investment in real estate, tourism sector and religious activities in tribal areas, drastically devastated their cultural and social well being. Natural splendour of Wayanad as well as the sanctified ethnicity of tribals, which belongs to no conventional religions, was shattered. The original inhabitants of Wayanad thus were ultimately downgraded to landless waifs and strays without any human amenities. The film starts with James, the central character, driving his taxi with some prospective real estate investors as passengers on a “Good Friday” day through the terrains of Wayanad Highway. He is in a hurry to drop them near the exquisite “Chembra Peak” over the hills and to come down the valley, so that he can take part in the march to commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. But, an unexpected breathtaking mission was waiting for him only to mess up his plans. This adrenalin flow cruise landed him in some of the pitiable living conditions of tribal people; their lot is dejection from everywhere; their dismal cry for survival falls on deaf ears. The persecution parade continues... Director : Renjith Chittade Producer : Asokan Nambazhikkad Story : S. Sharat Screenplay : K.
