This is Bacon, Sorsogon City Bacon, now part of Sorsogon City, was established as a municipality (pueblo civil) in 1754, making it the oldest in the province. Initially, it was under the jurisdiction of Albay province, along with the rest of Sorsogon. Bacon and Sorsogon became independent from Albay when Sorsogon was established as a separate province on October 17, 1894.
