The ceilings were higher than the norm for Humans, praise be to God, but still not high enough to prevent a slight sense of claustrophobia in a Messenger. The chair accommodate its wings, but in a way that was ever so slightly uncomfortable. At least the large window, a real one not just a display, showed empty space and the lush green planet the station orbited. The door opened, cutting off Zyraiel’s idle consideration of the aesthetics of design, and it stood to greet its counterpart.
