Charlie Reynoso, tattoo artist and co-founder of Venice Beach tattoo studio, Black Diamond Tattoo, visits Dr. Tattoff. Charly is fading his sleeve tattoo, which he got 20+ years ago. His goal is to have the legendary (and elusive) tattoo artist Mike Roper cover it by extending the yakuza tattoo that he has already started on his torso - which you will see in the video. Yakuza is a Japanese body suit tattoo that starts below the neck and extends partway down the legs, named after the yakuza, the underground crime syndicate in Japan. The yakuza historically hid their tattoos under their clothing so they could not be identified by law enforcement. A traditional yakuza tattoo does not extend below the elbows or ankles, and never includes ink above the chest area, or any part of the body that would be visible when fully clothed.
