Track 6 from his debut album released in 1981 copyright True North Records. It was recorded at Century 21 Studios in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was produced by Graham Shaw & Eugene Martynec. Shaw had played in several local Winnipeg bands since the early sixties and at one point was in a band called the Deverons with Burton Cummings, who went on to form the Guess Who with Randy Bachman. In 1977 he formed his backing band, the Sincere Serenaders, and signed a recording contract as a solo artist with Capitol Records. The label urged him to ditch his band and use studio musicians for his debut album but he refused. The self-titled release had two Top 40 hits in Canada. He signed with True North Records for this second album. It had a couple of minor hits in Canada. He later did session work and contributed keyboards and background vocals to Alice Cooper's solo album "Dada" released in '83. He also co-wrote three songs for that album. He released a third solo album independently in 2008. Recorded from the original vinyl. Written by Graham Shaw and produced by Graham Shaw & Eugene Martynec. Featuring: Graham Shaw - Lead vocals, piano, lead & rhythm guitars, synthesizer, trumpet & percussion The Sincere Serenaders: Paul O'Neill - Lead & rhythm guitars Gary Stefaniuk - Bass Gord Osland - Drums, percussion & background vocals Susan Lethbridge - Percussion & background vocals Ilena Zaramba - Percussion & background vocals Ralph Watts - Rhythm guitar on "You Came" Imagine a lady so cool and so even With eyes that shine like the day And the laughter is long and all the bad dreams start leavin' The empty feelin' drainin' away And the lovin' is long, it's cool and it's hot Then it's real, so real But then like a fool you think all that you got (Is the way you feel) whoa, yeah Imagine this lady so cool and so even You take her home for your own But the nights get so tiny you can barely keep on breathin' You'd be way better off on your own You're at home on the range, you go lookin' for strange It's no good, no good You know you're in danger, you know you'd go home (If you only could) yeah (You're still cruisin') (You're still cruisin' yeah) (All your dreams of love get smaller) (And further away) (Park the car, get out and walk) (There's nothin' else to do) oh, no, no, no Ripped from your dream by Caesarean Section You stand on your porch with a beer Nobody knows what you're thinkin' or you're dreamin' And no one can guess what you fear And your mind starts to wander Back over all the good old days, those days When will you learn that the old days get better (The further they are away?) yeah (You're still cruisin') (You're still cruisin' yeah) (All your dreams of love get smaller and further away) (Park the car, get out and walk, there's nothin' else to do) yeah, yeah (You're still cruisin') nothin' gonna change when you're (You're still cruisin', yeah) you're cruisin', you're still cruisin', yeah (You're still cruisin') nothin gonna help it when you're (You're still cruisin', yeah) yeah, you're cruisin', you're still cruisin' (You're still cruisin') nothin' gonna change when you're (You're still cruisin', yeah) oh, look out, yeah Still cruisin', you're still cruisin' Ooh-ooh-hoo-ooh
