Book on Kargil’s Religious and Social History by Haji Baqir Ali Launched at JUIA Conference Hall In Ladakh, a book titled "Knowledge of Allah and the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.): Kargil's Brief Religious, Worldly, and Social History", authored by Haji Baqir Ali, was officially launched today at a function held in the Conference Hall of Jamiatul Ulama Isna Asharia, Kargil. The book was formally released at the august hands of Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Nazir ul Mehdi Mohammadi, President of Jamiatul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil. The event was attended by prominent religious and political figures including Vice President Sheikh Ghulam Ali, General Secretary and Markazi Imam Jumma Sheikh Ibrahim Khalili, Former Executive Councillor Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Councillor Town Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa, Councillor Shargole Haji Mohd Jawad, and Social Activist Sajjad Kargili, among others. Renowned historian and author Mohd Sadiq Hardassi presented a brief review of the book, appreciating Haji Baqir Ali's scholarly contribution, especially at his advanced age, calling it an inspiration for the younger generation. Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi praised Haji Baqir Ali’s efforts in documenting the religious and social history of Kargil, also known as Purig, and termed it a valuable addition to local literature. The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Haji Zaheer Hussain Babar. He personnaly thanked Coucnillor Town and Social and Political Leader Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa for sponsoring the publishing of the Book.
