Daily Walks: A smaller dog breed might be fine with just a quick walk around the block, but German Shepherds are big and high-energy, not to mention that they’re working dogs. Aim to walk your GSD at least twice a day, and if it’s young and healthy, aim for three times a day. For a healthy adult German Shepherd, two one-hour walks a day is a good standard.
