This is the guitar tab of my cover of Winners Take All by Quiet Riot This is a note for note transcription from the album. I believe this may be the only tab of this on the web, so if someone wants the tab in PDF, just find me on Facebook and I'll send it to you.   / picking.pythagorean.7   I first took the original song and transcribed each instrument: Drums, Bass, Keyboards, and all Electric Guitars. I then played each instrument and sang the song. So everything you hear is me. I also filmed myself so that you can see what I'm playing. This was a request by Low Budget Studio 2.0 It is dedicated to Kevin DuBrow, and Frankie Banali Note: The intro of this song can be played two different ways. Same notes, just different positions. The D in the beginning can be played as a D barre chord, and then it's not as hard to drop down to the C#. I think this is how they played it live. But, in the studio, it sounded more like the open D to me, so I transcribed it as such. Like I said, same notes, just a differnt spot on the neck where you play it. So, if the intro is too much of a stretch, you can try that D barre chord. You can even play the first four bars up the neck as well with less of a stretch but it doesn't ring out as much. Winners Take All was recorded by Quiet Riot and originally first appeared on their 1984 album Condition Critical It was written by Kevin DuBrow The equipment used in this recording is as follows: Slate ML1 Microphone The software is Cubase Artist. The audio interface is a Tascam 208i The Bass sound was created with a Fender Precision Bass, straight into the 208i. The Guitar is an Ibanez Genesis into a Metal Muff Pedal, then into a Sansamp Paradriver, then straight into the 208i. All vocals were recorded with the Slate ML1 Slate and Waves Plug ins, and Ozone 9 was used for mastering. The video, and the recording, were produced by Abraham Myers.
