I recently tried out using a Sony Alpha 5100 camara for Twitch streaming (via an Elgato Streamlink & Streamlabs OBS), but ran into an issue where the camera just wasn't autofocusing. While I'd watched through great videos by Ryan Latham and Live Streaming Pros on the subject, somehow I'd missed on a key detail (which I'm SURE they probably said and that I hadn't appreciated): Make sure your "Shoot Mode" is set to "Movie" As I had been taking a direct feed from my HDMI cable I hadn't realised this would be a setting I had to pay attention BUT YOU DO and I suffered as a result! I hope someone else finds this video useful and that it saves them some blood, sweat and/or tears! Disclaimer: this is NOT a video covering how to solve every autofocus issue. This is specifically focusing on the one issue that I personally encountered. If this doesn't help you then feel free to ask more questions and I'll see what I can do, but I am not claiming at any point that this is the cure for any issuses!
