A Visit to The Sainj Palace | 1770-1775 main bna Theog Riyasat ka Sainj Mehal | Amazing Himachal | Hello, everyone, we are back with an amazing road trip. I went to Sainj with my brother in law to meet one of my old friends. While going there we both encountered one of the oldest palace of Theog Riyasat. This palace has a grand entrance and is about 250 years old. It was was built around 1770-1775 by Raja Padam Chand. Before Independence, Sainj was the capital of Theog State, and the main seat of Rana of Theog. The Thakur rulers of the State claimed descent from the Chandel Rajputs of Jaipur and resided at their wooden palace on the bank of River Giri, at Sainj. This beautiful palace is located in Himachal Pradesh- Dist Shimla, Theog- Sainj Something that actually grabbed my attention was the architecture of this huge palace merely made up of stones and wood. The main door of the palace was huge, made up of wood and had a unique lock system. The top floor of the palace was a temple which means the old kings also used to believe the God and its mighty existence. The next floor after temple was the residential place for the king and its family. The floor below that was meant for the residence place for the ministers. The ground floor of the palace was a prison. The palace had a huge ground just next to it. All in all architecture and its beauty was fascinating. I hope you really enjoyed every minute of this video, nevertheless it was a memorable me and my brother in law. We will see you with our another video hopefully soon.
