His life and message serve as a stamp of authenticity on their revelations, affirming the continuous truth across all prophets while also distinguishing false claims of prophecy. Highest Rank Among Prophets: Another interpretation is that "Seal of the Prophets" points to Muhammad’s unique status or rank among prophets, not just as the last in a sequence but as the "crowning jewel" of prophethood. This implies a distinction in rank rather than solely temporal finality. A Spiritual Role: Some mystical or Sufi interpretations take a more symbolic approach, seeing "Seal" as a metaphor for Muhammad being the inner spiritual completion of prophecy. This would mean that while no new laws or Sharia would be revealed, the spiritual qualities of prophecy continue in a mystical sense through his teachings. While the dominant view among most scholars is that "Seal of the Prophets" signifies the last prophet in a sequential line, these additional interpretations have also been explored within Islamic thought, especially in theological and mystical contexts.
