Paiste 900 Heavy Crash 18"
I bought this one on Paiste day back in April last year at Steve Maxwell Drumshop. Not only I had no chance to properly test it then, I also completely forgot I even bought this one! I found it in my bags when was cleaning out the closet. Initially I got this one for my set of smaller cymbals when playing at smaller places. The only crash that I could use as a ride, crash and crash ride for heavy moments. First impression is WOW! Based on samples I thought it's going to be something like PST 8 but a bit louder, however in person this crash really sounds like Alpha/PST5 mashup. Attack is lot thicker than 2002 and less volume than 2002 but it def gives me Alpha vibes but with more versatility I guess? Anyway, I really love it, thinking of getting a colorsound version of this one, as well! As always trying to capture more honest sound from the practice space, recorded with H2N and Q2HD. Enjoy!
