Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Echo under-dash brake controller on our 2021 Ford Bronco. This is not your typical brake controller. One, we have no neat knockers down here which is kind of annoying but also all you have to do is plug it in and hide it underneath the dash. So you don't have to look at it either. The one thing we will need to have a phone or an iPad 4 is to set up the profiles initially. We have a lighter trailer, we really don't need a whole lot of breaking to happen on the trailer. We can put it down to about five, that's as low as it goes. But then as that trailer starts to get a little bit heavier you might wanna go a little bit higher. 100 is the max output on this one. So then we move over to the sensitivity adjustment which is how sensitive it is. It goes down to one and all the way up to nine. So you can set that up for that one trailer. And then whenever you switch trailers, what I just did there is press those three little lines up top go to that Profile List and once it loads you'll see the current profile we're using is profile one. But we have five others that we can go ahead and customize for that specific trailer. You really don't need to have that phone out to use it. The only feature that you need to have a phone out for is when we click on a profile having that override button. So one thing that I think would be beneficial for you is a lot of the times whenever I have to press this button, it's only for when my trailer is kinda swaying in the back 'cause I have my profile all set up so it breaks properly. But if my trailer is just going like this in the back, I kinda have to do that pretty quick to bring it back to center. If you don't have this app up on your phone you have to unlock your phone and then go and press it. But that kinda takes a little bit of time and when that situation happens I really need to get it to straighten out pretty quick. So if you go to here and then right here so you can get a button which you don't have to run power to it 'cause it comes with a battery. So you can keep this and have a double sided tape, stick it somewhere in your vehicle. So if you have that emergency situation that you need to straighten up your trailer a little bit you'll have a physical button press so you don't have to get on your phone while you're driving and your trailer is swaying and then press the button. I think this would be a really, really smart choice to add to your setup. There's a lot of places we could put it on the Bronco. It's not that big, it could go on top of here. I probably wouldn't put it there. Right over here could be good. Or it's like, you see it swaying in the back, you're like, oh, grab this and maybe put the button right there. Whatever you think is best, but there's so many places you can put it. Even right here would be good too. If we click these lines again we're gonna come up with this and this is something I really like. If you go to the Controller Settings, and if you're driving during the day, this is probably gonna be the one you want. But if you're at night, it gets a little bright, especially if you have an iPad like this, it's a lot of screen. So you can switch that up like that, which is super cool. And of course you have the instructions and user guides but hopefully you don't really need those because we did a good enough job here. But that's all there for you. It's just like a standard app, kinda set
