The History of Mediumship The oracle, or the medium, goes much farther back than ancient Greece. Really, it goes all the way back to the Lemurian period. Here the female oracle emerges and is the individual in the tribe that unites directly with the Father, thus it is through her that anything in the spiritual world is translated. As humanity evolves, the Atlantean epoch emerges and finally the beginnings of a priestly class arises around the oracle creating the high ceremonial magic of the Atlantean era. Here, in the Atlantean period, we finally see men develop a unique and individual connection with Spirit making Atlantis the the time of the Magician, as well as the era of priestly kings who governed through divine occult powers. In our current Post Atlantean epoch we recapitulate this evolution, we move through the many incarnations of the goddess, and in each expression she represents the role and condition of the feminine consciousness on the earth. There are constant themes that occur throughout the various civilizations of the Post Atlantean period, the main one perhaps being the descent of the goddess from heaven to earth. This is visible in all myths from ancient to modern, and as we move deeper into Revival we will explore exactly why this image is so significant.
