With the total victory of Antigonus over Eumenes in Asia and Cassander over Polyperchon and his allies in mainland Greece, a new order had been established. Yet despite this, there was great concern among the Diadochi rulers that Antigonus's victory had made him too powerful. Due to this, there came demands for Antigonus to share the spoils of victory and give up his territory in order to even out the power balance amongst the warlords. Yet, of course, Antigonus would not bend over to these demands, leading to a new series of power struggles and battles. In these trying times, we shall see the rise of Seleucus, a minor governor and general, as well as the tragic fate of the late Alexander the Great's wife and the heir to the empire, Alexander IV.
