Life in this dunya was never meant to be easy. In this powerful khutbah, Shaykh Mohamad Baajour reminds us that trials are not accidents — they are part of Allah’s divine design. Allah created life and death to test who is truthful in faith and who only believes with words. Every believer will be tested. The question is not if — but how will you respond? 🧭 Allah’s Clear Instruction During Trials When hardship strikes, Allah gives one direct command: “Seek help through sabr (patience) and salah.” The Prophet ﷺ would rush to prayer whenever he was distressed. Ibn ʿAbbas (ra), upon hearing of his brother’s death, immediately stood up and prayed. Why? Because the promise attached to that command is extraordinary: “Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” If Allah is with you — it doesn’t matter who is against you. Allah can place peace in the heart even before the problem disappears. ⚠️ What Allah Promised We Will Be Tested With Allah explicitly mentions the forms trials may take: • fear • hunger • loss of wealth • loss of loved ones • loss of “fruits” — meaning barakah, stability, and ease Sometimes one test. Sometimes many at once. They are guaranteed. 🌟 Who Receives the Glad Tidings? Not everyone who suffers. But those who are patient for Allah, especially at the first shock. Their immediate response is: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiʿun.” We belong to Allah, and to Him we return. This statement is not resignation — it is faith. Everything you have was given by Allah. And to Allah, everything returns. 🕊️ What Allah Gives in Return Allah promises three gifts to those who respond this way: • His praise and blessings • His mercy • His guidance These are the truly guided. 🕋 Why Safa & Marwah Follow These Verses The Qur’anic order is intentional. The story of Hajar reflects every category of testing: • fear • hunger • isolation • lack of resources Yet her certainty was unshaken: “Allah will not waste us.” And Allah transformed that moment into: • Zamzam • Makkah • safety • provision • abundance • people from every nation One moment of trust changed history. 🧠 Grounding Truths During Hardship • Compare what Allah took with what He left — you’ll find mercy • The One testing you is Arham al-Rahimin and All-Wise • Allah will not burden you beyond what you can bear • Trials may raise your rank in Jannah when deeds alone wouldn’t • The Prophet ﷺ himself suffered immense loss — trials are not abandonment • Stronger iman often means harder tests And remember: “With hardship comes ease.” Ease exists with the hardship — even if unseen. Be grateful the test is not in your deen. Losing faith is the real calamity. 🤲 Two Questions That End Anxiety Ask yourself: Does Allah know? Can Allah solve it? Yes. And yes. So beg Allah with certainty — because Allah says: “It is easy for Me.” #MohamadBaajour #TrialsInIslam #Patience #Sabr #Salah #IslamicReminder #TestFromAllah #FaithUnderPressure #Akhirah #IslamicKhutbah #TrustAllah #HardshipAndEase #Deen #QuranReflections
