Up next, Polycrystalline VS Monocrystalline Solar Panels. What's the difference and what panels should you put on your roof? Looking to get Solar installed? Visit https://teho.com.au/ Hi, I am Jonathan Green from Teho. The place where Australians save time and money as they make the switch to renewable energy. Everyday we get asked the question, what is better Polycrystalline or Monocrystalline Solar Panels. If you have had a quote for solar in the past or you are looking at getting solar, it can be confusing which one to choose. Plus, you have probably had a sales person tell you the one they are selling, whichever one it is, is the best. We are going to cover off what is better and why. Firstly, the most important thing when looking at solar technology is performance. You want to put the best performing tech on your roof so you can generate as much power as possible. Naturally. The good news is that the difference in performance between a poly and mono panel is nearly nothing. It is much more important to pick a good quality brand and manufacturer that is building the panel, rather than the technology they are using. There are many deep technical differences in the two panels however they don’t have much impact when you are weighing up what to put on your roof. There is a third option called cast mono. Cast mono is a newer technology that is a combination of both poly and mono however, the same goes as before. Just focus on buying a good quality panel from a quality manufacturer and you will be sweet. If you are considering the aesthetics of the panels, there are generally some visual differences you can pick up on. Mono panels when looking at the cells have the classic cut away corners and poly are generally square. Additionally Mono panels are traditionally more black in color and poly are more blue. The moral of the story is, don’t worry too much about what tech is being used, just buy good quality panels from a reputable panel manufacturer. If you are considering installing solar, would like to know more about what panels are variable or have any questions at all about renewable energy solutions, give us a call on 1300 22 92 92. I am Jonathan Green from Teho and that was the difference between Polycrystalline and Monocrystalline. Thanks for watching.
