In this video, I completely cover my entire workflow for home processing modern Kodak Vision Color Negative movie film, using my Home Brew ECN-2 recipe. I cover the chemicals, mixing, times, temperatures, remjet removal, Mike’s babbling and drying the film. My Sous Vide for sink water temperature: https://amzn.to/3sjrGH0 Film Stock: Kodak Vision 3 50D super 8 Camera Used: Canon 514XL Process: Home Brew ECN-2 Scan: MovieStuff RetroScan Universal Mark 1 @ 2K Here’s the recipe I use to make 2 liters of Home Brew ECN-2 chemicals (half for 1 liter): Don’t be like me…Always wear protective gear (glasses, gloves) when mixing chemicals! Remjet Removal Bath: Water @ 100° F - 1.75 liters Sodium Carbonate - 8 TBSP Sodium Bicarbonate - 2 TBSP Top off water to 2 liters Developer: Water @ 100° F - 1.75 liters Sodium Sulfite - 4 grams Potassium Bromide - 3 grams Sodium Carbonate - 51.2 grams Sodium Bicarbonate - 5.6 grams CD3 - 8 grams Top off water to 2 liters Stop Bath (optional): Water @ 100° F - 1.75 liters White Vinegar - 250 ml I use plain water for Stop Bath most of the time Bleach: Water @ 100° F - 1.75 liters Potassium Ferricyanide - 80 grams Potassium Bromide - 64 grams Top off water to 2 liters Fixer: Regular Kodak Fixer - 2 liters Kodak Photo-Flo + Distilled Water as final wash Dish soap can be substituted for Photo-Flo Developing Times & Temperatures: Remjet Removal Bath - 90-105° for F 1-2 minutes (gentle agitation) + 3 rinse baths Developer - 106° for 3 minutes Stop Bath - 100-106° for 2 minutes Bleach - 100-106° for 6 minutes Wash plain water - 100-106° for 2 minutes Fix - 100-106° for 5 minutes Wash plain water - room temperature for 6-8 minutes Photo-Flo + Distilled Water - room temperature for 2 minutes Equipment I used to make this YouTube Video: Canon M50 (4K @ 24P): https://amzn.to/3DR7ujk BOYA BY-M1 Microphone: https://amzn.to/3LWJEFb Affiliate Links: ============ Some of the links in my video descriptions are affiliate links, which means, at no extra cost to you, I will make a small commission if you click them and make a purchase.
