M/V Mississagi arrives at Port Of Cleveland

Lower Lake Tower boat Mississagi arrives at the Port of Cleveland Ohio. Thanks to AIS I had seen this was sailing west through Lake Erie with plenty of time for me to get my cameras ready. Shown entering the mouth of the Cuyahoga River and going through the Norfolk Southern lift bridge. For more on the Mississagi view my next ship video of her snaking through the river at Irish Bend. The Mississagi was built "Hill Annex", a L6-S-B1 Maritime class ship built by the Great Lakes Engineering Works, River Rouge, MI. She was rechristened George A. Sloan for the U.S. Steel Corp, later sailing for Pittsburgh Steel, Bradley Transportation Co and USS Great Lake Fleet. She was acquired by the current owners Lower Lakes Towing in March 2001( LLT, parent company Rand Logistics ).
