In November 1920, one nameless serviceperson was brought home from the battlefields of World War One to be buried amongst Kings and Queens in Westminster Abbey. 100 years on, we were honoured to join forces with Westminster City Council to retell this story to a new generation. Not only is this the story of a remarkable journey that brought a nation together to begin to heal, it’s the story of our journey to record ‘Abide with me’ – the hymn that sung the Unknown Warrior to his final resting place.
